I had a mixed experience at the hotel. Although the room was spacious and the breakfast was decent, offering a room with city views was a nice touch. However, the room had no natural light, only a window facing into the hallway, which was a downside for three people.

The staff was friendly and efficient. They spoke good English and were fairly accommodating when issues came up. I appreciated that they offered to hold our bags while we went on a 2-day trek, even though we hadn't checked out yet.

The location was great, being within walking distance to the train station and close to restaurants and shops. It was nice to have views of the mountains while being in the center of Sapa. However, being approached by people trying to sell things whenever we left the hotel was a bit of a nuisance.
